The American Revolution
A six-part, 12-hour PBS documentary series directed by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt, tracing the eight-year war that created the United States. Built from over nine years of research and drawing on newly surfaced archival material, the series follows thirteen British colonies as they rise in rebellion, win independence, and establish a new form of government that reshaped the world.
Premiering November 16, 2025, it won Best Historical Documentary at the 10th Annual Critics Choice Documentary Awards, with over 20 million viewers and 4 billion streaming minutes to date. The series premiered on the BBC in June 2026.
American Amazon
A giant-screen documentary from Grizzly Creek Films, directed by Eric Bendick, that reveals the vast, little-known wetlands stretching across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and the Carolinas, a hidden ecosystem often called America's own "Amazon."
Narrated and executive produced by Jon Batiste, who also appears on screen, the film premieres in IMAX and giant-screen theaters and museums on November 13, 2026, followed by a two-part PBS Nature miniseries in early 2027.
